A bit about me

I have been qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist for over 25 years. Starting my career at University College Hospital, London (honeymoon period) where I thought I could fix everything with a push, crack or acupuncture needle. I then worked at several hospitals before beginning private practice at Performance Physiotherapy and Richmond  Rugby Club where I lead the medical department. After a period of time raising my 3 children disillusionment started to settle in. I could make people feel better for a while but had I really changed anything?  I considered divorce…..but I had spent time and effort on my career  and I still wanted to ‘fix’ people. I decided to study for an MSc in strength and conditioning. This completely reignited my passion for movement and loading tissues to restore function in specific ways to achieve athlete and patient goals. I still use manual therapy and I still push and crack things (needles are out though!) but the goal is to enable optimal  movement for the return to everyday living and training for athletes and weekend warriors. Although these principles can be applied to everyone and you  .
